Sometimes, it seems like at the end of the day, we've really accomplished nothing at all, and sometimes it feels like we blinked and it sped past. Sometimes it feels like we've been running in circles, or even, rarely, like we actually managed to accomplish our goals.
I'm trying to be good about blogging, and while I wanted to try and do 'fashion' blogging, I'm not sure if I'm good at that. Today's shot isn't at all a fashion or a story type picture. Its just sort of an end of the day picture, even if for me its still morning. Today has been a little frustrating for me so far, and I -feel- like its the end of a day, even if its not. I was working on stuff for events I'm in for next month, and trying to think of things no one else will think of, and was working on some snowflake stuff [yeah, right - no one will ever think of doing snowflakes for december events /sarcasm], and ran into issues.
See, I use Blender for modeling. Its free, but more importantly for me, I've been working with it since 03 or 04? since I used it for Sims 2 modding. So, I already know its quirks, or at least the ones that are going to effect modeling. So, I'm very excited with all the features they have been adding in the last few years, except...
I'm still not really sure -how- to make what I see in a render -bake- that way. And it isn't working that way, so wanted to take a break. This is beyond the break I took because I share computer space with someone who works from home who was on a skype call with a boss - which means no video tutorials for me. At least I got a marketpoop listing done.
So, off to take a break, and right now, break time means some World of Warcraft, which is very popular with the new expansion [even with the release day issues yesterday], and its down. Considering the time this morning was 9 am PST, and its now 9 am SLT, I'm figuring that this means some play time. Except right at 9, the message now reads that its extended, with no time given. Joy.
The good news is, that since I haven't blogged this week, I can blog! So I did.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Basics, since this isn't a fashiony sort of pose. Elwood is wearing Avatar Bizarre stuff with a custom Frankenfaery skin from Atomic Faery, Sirius is wearing a First Act wolf avie and jeans, and I'm wearing some Facade Noir, :{MV}: and 8f8 along with my usual slink, magika and atomic faery stuff. The pub we're in is Tempus Fugit's Rose and Thorn, which is decorated with a mix of Trompe Loeil, Faerycat Designs and 22769 stuffs. [not all of which is shown, but its there.]
Anyways - this rambling mess is brought to you by the letters W and R, and the number 3.

Coming in from the Cold
For once, this one isn't at all inspired by a song *gasp* (Amazing isn't it?), and considering that almost my entire life has had a internal soundtrack, it is fairly odd. But, something else that has been a constant is books, and today A Tattered Page opens up at noon, and my personal blog reflects this.
Frankenstein has a lot of themes running through it. I'm not joking, it does. One of these is a desire of all things to belong, to not be left on the fringes of society. And at some point the monster [who never does seem to have any name at all, contrary to pop culture], does some very fae type things for the people he is living near; providing extra firewood and such in the night.
And this got me to thinking; do the stories about the capricious behavior of the fae come from a desire to come in from the cold as well? And feeling there is no place for them around our hearthfires, lead to them doing horrible things?
I'm not going to give away spoilers, if one could really give away spoilers on a book that has been out for just shy of 200 years [4 more years]. But I think if you read the book for yourself, you might see where I'm drawing the comparisons. I think most folks, when left too long out in the cold, will lash out when kind deeds do not work.
This fae though? This is her hearth, so no one is going to deny her the warmth of the fires.
