Day 22 - bad fae, no cookie

I know, I know - only 22 days old now and forgot to update for a long time. I'm almost old enough to start putting stuff up on this place called Xstreet. Can hardly wait - so many ideas for pretty houses and furniture and jewelry and... well, you get the idea.

My latest hobby is fishing. Won a competition my first night out and it was also a lot of fun, so expect some more fishing type posts and pictures. And there will be some pictures, I promise.

For tonight, off to sleep - got a class tomorrow and a costume to start working on.

Day 11 - Busy little flitten

Hi - sorry its been a few days, but they have been busy ones.

I found a job, first of all. I'll be dancing, and hopefully I'll do alright with it. I've also been adopted by a clan in Neko Asylum, and hopefully I'll be a credit to them as well.

Knowledge, I've been packing alot into my head the past few days. I have made a chair that is colour-changing, as well as learning how to build with as few prims as necessary. I've also learned to sculpt prims, though not very well yet. And then there is scripting. Again, I'm not very good yet, but I'll learn.

And I've made a bunch of new friends.

I'll try and get up some pictures soon,
Aribeth

Day 7 - A forgetful fae

Sorry, I've not been goo about updating my journal. I've been spending much of my time going to classes at NCI. In fact, so many classes that soon I'll need to pause and practice the stuff I've been learning.

What have I been learning? Well, let's see - scripting, animation, sculpties, flexi skirts, jewelry making and how to make the most of my prims - I've the nicest set of furniture I made in one class. Of course, my storage trunk is a mess, but we'll get it sorted soon. Anyway, I'll be back later - maybe with something actually useful, like how to look nice with no money.

Day 4 - Learning to defend and heal

Hi guys - Today I did some exploring and made a new friend who taught me how to use my natural magics to heal myself and others, as well as how to use a knife. So now I'm all set to go exploring some of the less friendly parts of the world.

I also went to school again today and learned how to make some really basic clothing that looks just as nice as some of the stuff I've found for free, and as nice as some of the stuff I've seen for sale. I might just have to go into business for myself, if this job situation doesn't improve.

Day 3 - The Fae goes to school

Hi - another busy day today for me. I decided to start going to school - afterall, if I'm going to survive, the more I know, the better.

The class was all about physics and I'm looking forward to playing with the language that makes things move around, and fall and the like - but for now, I still need a job. However I also learned how to make some jewelry and perhaps tomorrow I'll put some of the sets I've made up at the mall run by NCI for us youngsters.

Until tomorrow,
Ari.

Day 2 - Finding my way around

Today has been tiring. Spent the first part of the day sitting in a castle, hanging out with a new friend and being given a latex dress, but its not my sort of thing, I think. I like frilly stuff, I'm learning. I must be a girly-girl. Still, it was a very nice gift, and making even a few lindens will let me make myself look more like how I should.

The rest of the day I spent exploring. I also found some nice things on a place called Xstreet. So, I've got all sorts of things to piece together a look that will work for now, at least.

Now if I can just find a real job and make some more friends, I'll be doing well and can look for a home.

Until tomorrow,
Ari

Day 1 - The birth of a new Fae

Hi - I'm Aribeth and I just started my new life in a place called Second Life. I'm a fae, or faery, or one of the fair folk, depending on how you want to put it.

I spent a good part of my first day looking for clothing and a job. The clothing was managed, but a job looks like it might be harder. But after doing some searching, I've learned a few things. For one, free does not always mean free. And its a cruel joke on newcomers who haven't any money at all yet. I also learned that there are some really nice folks out there who give out gift cards or free outfits. So, I at least look closer to what I should.

Currently, I'm sitting in a chair waiting patiently for a pair of cat ears and a tail to sprout. Hey, not all fae are little elfin creatures, at least not all the time.
